Did you know that the "O.W.L." in my business' name "Secret O.W.L. Society" stands for "Obsessed with Learning"? I think one of the best ways to continue learning and evolving is to read books, especially books for our personal development. However, most people just don't read... 🦉 Here are some crazy numbers: 😱 33% of high school graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives. 😱 42% of college graduates never read another book after college. 😱 80% of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year. 😱 70% of U.S. adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years. 😱 57% of new books are not read to completion. 🦉 Are you a reader? When was the last time you read a book for your personal development? 📖
One question I get asked a lot is “Do you think I can still sell my printables when the market is so saturated now?” :: My response to this is that the market is only saturated for people who are trying to do the same thing that everyone else is doing. :: So now you might be wondering, “Well how can I be different from everyone else?” :: You are already different from everyone else. You just have to remember that and lean into it. To me creativity is just the act of stripping away the “shoulds” and being yourself. There are guidelines, but there are no rules. You have to get a bit fearless - it takes a little courage to make something for sale that you don’t typically see out there in the marketplace. :: And yet at the same time, it’s really not that big of a deal. Everything is ultimately an experiment.
