Who We Are

The Secret O.W.L. Society™ is owned and operated by Michelle Rohr and was founded by Michelle Rohr in 2012. Products offered through The Secret O.W.L. Society are created either by Michelle Rohr independently or in collaboration with approved partners.

Our Intellectual Property

Everything you see here—our courses, templates, PDFs, Notion systems, Canva designs, blog posts, podcast episodes, graphics, logos, and any other content—belongs to The Secret O.W.L. Society™ unless otherwise noted.

What You Can Do:

  • Share our free resources with your community (with credit and a link back to us)

  • Use our paid products according to their specific license terms

  • Quote small portions of our content with proper attribution

What You Cannot Do:

  • You cannot claim our work as your own

  • You cannot resell, redistribute, or share our paid products with others

  • You cannot use our branding, logos, or trademarks without permission

  • You cannot share your login credentials or course access with others —household family use (spouse, partner, children) is fine, but please don't share with friends, team members, business colleagues, etc.

Intellectual Property Infringement

Systematically replicating our product concepts, naming patterns, or brand aesthetic crosses the line into infringement.

We understand that inspiration happens in creative industries—that's normal. But there's a difference between 'this sparked an idea for me' and chronically recreating someone else's product lineup, naming conventions, and branding.

If your offerings chronically mirror ours in name, concept, and branding, you've moved beyond inspiration into intellectual property infringement.

What Our Programs Offer (And Don't Offer)

The Secret O.W.L. Society provides educational content, coaching, systems, and templates to support creative entrepreneurs in building sustainable, aligned businesses.

Here's What You Should Know:

This Is Not Professional Advice: Our programs offer business education, personal development coaching, and organizational systems—not legal, financial, medical, or therapeutic advice. If you need help in those areas, please consult licensed professionals (lawyers, CPAs, doctors, therapists).

No Income Guarantees: We share our own results and student testimonials because we're proud of what our community achieves. However, your results will depend on many factors—including your effort, circumstances, existing skills, and market conditions. We make no guarantees about specific outcomes, income levels, or business success.

Educational in Nature: Everything we teach is based on our own experience and what has worked for us and our students. We're not the ultimate authority on business—we're sharing what we've learned with transparency and heart.

Your Responsibility: You agree to take 100% responsibility for your own decisions, actions, and results. You also agree to hold The Secret O.W.L. Society and Michelle Rohr harmless from any losses, damages, or issues that arise from using our website, programs, or services.

Accuracy: We update our content regularly, but we're human. Occasionally there might be typos, outdated information, or technical hiccups. If you spot something that needs fixing, you can contact us via the chat support button in the bottom left hand corner of our site.

Payments & Refunds

Payment Processing: We use third-party payment processors (like Stripe or PayPal) to handle transactions securely. We're not responsible for issues that arise from payment processor errors or technical failures.

All Sales Are Final: Due to the digital and immediate-access nature of our products and programs, we do not offer refunds. When you purchase a course, template, or program, you receive instant access to the materials—so please make sure it's the right fit for you before purchasing.

Payment Plans: If you choose a payment plan option, you're committing to the full payment schedule. Failure to complete payments may result in loss of access to course materials.

Pricing Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If you've already purchased at a certain price, that's your price—we won't charge you more. But future offerings may be priced differently.

Affiliate Links & Recommendations

We occasionally recommend products, tools, and services we genuinely love and use in our own business. Some of these links are affiliate links, which means we may receive a small commission if you make a purchase (at no extra cost to you).

Our Promise: We only recommend things we actually use and believe in. That said, we're not responsible for your experience with third-party products or services. You're making your own purchasing decisions.

Access Duration & "Lifetime Access" Defined:

When we say "lifetime access," we mean access for the lifetime of the program itself—not your lifetime or Michelle's lifetime.

What This Means:

  • If a program is retired or sunsetted, you will maintain access to the existing materials in their current form

  • We reserve the right to update, modify, or improve program content over time—you'll have access to these updates when they're made

  • If we must completely remove content from our platforms (for example, due to third-party platform shutdowns, discontinuation of hosting services, legal requirements, or significant changes to the tools or software the course is built around), we will provide advance notice and download opportunities whenever possible. However, circumstances beyond our control (such as sudden platform shutdowns or technical emergencies) may occasionally prevent advance warning.

  • We cannot guarantee perpetual hosting of materials indefinitely, as this depends on factors beyond our control (technology changes, platform availability, business operations)

Platform Changes:

Some of our programs are built on third-party platforms (like Notion, Teachery, or other course hosting sites). If those platforms significantly change, shut down, or become unavailable, we'll do our best to migrate content to a new platform or provide downloadable alternatives, but we cannot guarantee identical access or functionality.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to other websites (tools we recommend, podcast guests' sites, affiliate partners, etc.). We're not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those external sites. Click at your own discretion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via email to our newsletter subscribers. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
